This was really fun to do, and the GIMP let me even edit it, despite it's apparent dislike of NEF files

EDIT: I'll try to explain what I as best as I can... but it's weird.

First I played with the lighting/brightness. Then turned it back and white and then played with the lighting/brightness again. Finally I manually used the graph function thing to bring it to it's present state :3
